About Us

We provide high quality, evidence-based psychological assessments of children, parents and families through the tailored use of psychometric measures, observation, clinical interview and careful consideration of shared documentary evidence.

We are experienced clinical psychologists providing legally instructed assessments for the Family Court.  We utilise a structured professional judgement approach to assess risk and prognosis. We provide reports that make complex psychological concepts accessible to non-psychologically trained professionals, to help inform decision-making and care planning.

My clinical expertise lies within the fields of child, adolescent, and adult mental health. I have worked extensively in the area of complex trauma, and its impact on parenting capacity. I have a well-developed understanding of the range of psycho-social factors that impact on an individual’s ability to parent, including substance misuse, mental health difficulties and domestic abuse. I am able to provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment of adults and families with a wide range of psychological issues. These include diagnoses of depression, anxiety, complex PTSD and personality disorder.

I have also worked clinically in assessing and treating developmental trauma in children and adolescents. I am able to assess the impact of this on child wellbeing and development in key areas (e.g. social, emotional, academic and cognitive difficulties). I also have experience in identifying the immediate (e.g. physiological and psychological trauma responses) and long term (e.g. relational difficulties, maladaptive coping strategies, mental health difficulties) impact of abuse and neglect. I have significant experience working with the consequences of disruptions in attachment and the absence of safe parenting.

Throughout my career I have worked across adult and child services, with a focus on the impact of traumatic experiences. I have provided clinical input and support to schools, pupil referral units, youth offending services, social care teams, and the pan-London Family Drug and Alcohol Court. I am experienced at assessing and treating families where there has been longstanding social care involvement, with high levels of concern regarding the risk of significant harm to children and adolescents.
