What we offer
We offer legally instructed psychological assessments for the family court. Our assessments involve face-to-face appointments offered over at least two separate occasions, wherever possible. We believe this to be an ethical and robust approach to psychological assessment to assist informed decision-making.
We are able to carry out assessments of individuals (adults, parents, adolescents and children) and global family assessments. Our assessments can cover issues including, but not limited to:

-
Parenting capacity
-
Parental capacity to change
-
Parent-child attachment relationship
-
Child, adolescent and adult mental health
-
Parental mental health, including interpersonal difficulties and complex trauma
-
Impact of parental mental health, substance misuse and domestic violence on parenting capacity and child development
-
Impact of child maltreatment and developmental trauma, including emotional physical and sexual abuse and neglect
-
Cognitive assessment of adults and adolescents

We understand the distressing nature of Family Court proceedings for caregivers and their children and therefore adopt a compassionate, transparent and evidence-based approach to our assessments.
